About www.scoreattack.net
I first heard about Sega's Nights into Dreams in the 1995 run up to the release of the much touted Mario 64 Killer. I played it on a friends machine in 1996 for about 5 minutes and was utterly baffled. Fast forward 10 year to me digging my Saturn out of retirement and giving Panzer Dragoon, VF2 and Layer Section a nostalgic afternoon. I found Nights at the bottom of the box and span it up for the second time in 10 years.

I wasn't hooked, not by any means, but something about the way the game had been so obviously crafted with care an attention, so well thought out intrigued me. After scouring the internet for any information I could find and quite a bit of practice I reached a basic a reasonable level at the game. I got all A Ranks, a couple of 2.0s on the bosses and even an infinite loop or two.

Then I discovered the sadly defunct versusmode.com which had a score table for every level, link ratings, boss times and a couple of other players contributing. I learned a lot and spent a few months working on my game with the members of the forum and was able to double or treble my scores. For a number of reasons gaming and Nights took a back seat in my life for a few months and when I came but Versusmode had sadly vanished and the small but helpful community dispersed. I thought about it for a while and decided to invest some time in a website of my own. And thus www.scoreattack.net was born.

I would very much like for this site to become a well known place for dedicated and casual Nights players to meet and share ideas and strategies. I aim to provide videos and articles documenting every score based aspect of the game that I am able while trying to learn more about the game itself. I have been running daily updates on the site for several weeks now and intend to do this for as long as there is interest in what I am trying to do.

Anyone wishing to link to SA.net is more than welcome to by using this link button:

All players of any level from total novice to expert are positively encourage to join the forums and contribute their scores where I or any of the other members will try to provide a hint or two. Good Luck!

Nights is a very deep and complex game. There is alot too it and there are different ways to do each level and different ways to 2.0 some bosses plus many things that havent yet been discovered. I want this to be the best resource for NiD on the Web but I wouldnt dream of claiming other peoples ideas as my own. All the work on the site, editing and recording thus far has been done by myself. However, I have received various hints from two people in particular.

-Lance Way- Of the Panzer Dragoon and www.versusmode.com forums showed me awesome strats for Claws and Gulpo. He told me about a trick which allowed me to get 37 000 on TS2. He also let me know about the every other lap bonus ball on SC1. I think the idea of the fastest way to get 20 chips on SV1 was his too.

-Wyldaflowa- from www.nightsintodreams.com Forums for explaining what the hell is going on in the game when I first started the game. She arrived at an alternate way to 2.0 Gillwing about the same time I found mine. Also shes the undisputed master of Fb1 link attack at something like 6500.

-EVL- for a very sensible suggestion about forum organisation and invaluable help with PHP/mySQL

Various memebers of www.nightsintodreams.com were kind enough to point out various spelling mistakes, make some very helpful suggestions about formatting and point me in the general direction of some handy software and were and probably always will be, generally wonderful.

I got alot of ideas from a Japanese strategy guide called "Nights nice Night tours"

If anyone else finds any neat tricks or has any ideas or contributes anything at all to the site I will of course give them full credit here. If anyone feels I have left them out of this list for any reason please contact me.
